Parshuram Kund Mela

Parshuram Kund Mela is a prominent spiritual event on Makar Sankranti. This event is also referred to as "Kumbh of the Northeast" - banks of the Lohit River. Recently, the development work being carried out under the Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual, Heritage Augmentation Drive (PRASAD) scheme.

This Mela or Fair held annually in month of January during Makar Sankranti. This event held in the northeastern state of Arunachal Pradesh, India, near the Parshuram Kund. Thousands of pilgrims come to bathe in the holy waters of the Kund and is believed to cleanse them of sins. This event held featuring rituals, prayers, and cultural performances.[1]
