Gangasagar is the confluence of the Hooghly River and the Bay of Bengal in West Bengal’s South 24 Parganas district. Recently, Chief Minister announced to construct a 5-km-long Gangasagar Setu across the Muriganga river to connect the mainland to Sagar Island.[1]
- This mela held annually on Makar Sankranti.
